Retreading, being a green business, is promoting responsible attitude to our planet and environment, as tyre waste is extremely hazardous and proper tyre recycling and utilisation is becoming a rising global concern.

Following this trend, recently Myanmar and Norway governments have launched Myanmar-Norwegian Cooperation on the Management of Hazardous Waste in the country with the aim of contributing to the improvement of environmental management. This will be done through strengthening frameworks, building capacities and providing technical assistance in the environmentally sound management of Hazardous Waste (HW).

Our exclusive Supercool business partner in Myanmar since 2006, KYI Brothers Industries Co. Ltd., was proudly one of the only 5 companies that were selected for the survey and audit because of the environmental contribution that they made over the years with Supercool retreading systems. KYI is the largest retreader in Myanmar and is also awarded ISO 9001:2008 quality management system certification from UKAS.

While the tyre market currently is much focused on lowest cost or purchase, we should not forget that retreading was in the first place invented for environmental reasons. It will definitely have a huge environmental implication if we are overemphasizing on short-term benefits, as eventually the society is going to pay more to preserve the environment to keep living in hassle-free conditions suitable for businesses. Therefore, a responsible approach to our common home is what we together with our partners strongly believe in.
